Cosmetic & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery / Skin Cancer Specialists / Appearance Medicine

appearance medicine

Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic offers a carefully selected array of appearance medicine treatments. We provide an initial consultation with one of our specialist nurses. This allows a comprehensive assessment and plan prior to your treatment – at no cost – fitted to your individual goals.

Our plastic surgeons and nurses have intimate knowledge of facial anatomy. They attend national and international courses and conferences to hone their techniques, ensuring their knowledge is of the highest standard.

At Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic, our patients see one of our plastic surgery injecting nurses for a free consultation when first exploring appearance medicine options. During this consultation particular goals, concerns and options available are discussed in detail – along with the possible adverse effects of any proposed treatment. Verbal and written information on any particular treatment is also provided, along with post-care instructions.

Because we continually fine-tune and stay up-to-date with plastic surgery techniques, and receive in-house training in the field of cosmetic and appearance medicine, you can be assured you are in highly skilled hands.

Two of our most sought after treatments – by both men and women –  are Botulinum Toxin A and dermal fillers. Botulinum Toxin A (Botox ®) and dermal fillers are used to enhance facail anatomy, return fullness to lips and smooth frown lines and crows feet. These treatments can enhance your appearance in a natural way: defining facial contours and lips, smoothing lines and restoring greater facial harmony. Real results for the real you.

Botox and dermal fillers

Frown lines

Tired of appearing grumpy, even when you’re not? This common complaint from both men and women is easily treatable with the use of Botulinum Toxin A (Botox ®). By relaxing the muscles causing the frown you'll still have natural movement but these 'telling' lines will soften. If your frown line has become creased, dermal fillers can plump it out to smooth the brow and achieve a more youthful result.

Eyebrow

A beautifully proportioned face has correctly shaped and positioned eyebrows. Brows can be adjusted with selective injections of muscle relaxants and dermal fillers. The effect is subtle and naturally 'frames' the face to restore a more youthful appearance.

Forehead lines

A common area of concern – for both men and women – are the horizontal lines which appear across our foreheads. These can be softened with Botulinum Toxin A and/or dermal fillers, resulting in a more youthful, smoother brow – whilst giving you freedom to use this expressive part of your face. For optimal results we sometimes recommend simultaneous treatment of eyebrow and frown lines.

Cheek augmentation

Cheek augmentation is almost painless, with immediate long lasting and subtle effects. We use the latest techniques and the very best products to achieve best results. By having your cheeks augmented with temporary filler, fine lines are erased and the complexion enhanced, reflecting a more youthful you. Cheek augmentation can also rectify facial asymmetry, and this treatment can last for up to two years.

Tear troughs

Do hollows under your eyes make you appear tired and older than you feel? People often assume they will need to have this surgically corrected, however, for many the simple procedure of having dermal filler injected into the hollows can improve and restore fullness. With minimal discomfort, this is a very popular treatment in both men and women of all ages.

Jowls

The hollow that forms along the jaw line, between the chin and the jowl, can be filled with temporary filler to disguise this ageing feature. The same deep tissue filling techniques used for cheeks can be used here for subtle, long lasting effects. By plumping out the area, a firmer, more youthful jaw line is recaptured.

Lip border

Are 'bleeding lips' a problem? Or little or no definition to the edge of your lips? Having a soft dermal filler injected into the border of your lips, can rectify these common concerns. This minimal discomfort treatment can be performed in conjunction with lip augmentation. Results last four to six months.

Lip augmentation

If you have noticed a loss of volume to the body of your lips, or have never had any fullness in this area, you will be thrilled with the subtle differences lip augmentation brings. By injecting temporary fillers into the body of the lip, you'll have immediate results which last six to eight months. During your initial treatment we prefer to use a minimal amount of product to achieve the most natural results. This can be further enhanced by a lip border, which can be performed at the same appointment.

Double chin

Are you tired of the added fullness below your chin? The lack of definition in your jawline? Does it make you appear older or heavier than you wish? We offer the non-surgical Belkyra™  treatment for double chins. A series of injections 'melts' away fat, redefining and revealing your jawline. Popular with men and women of all ages, FDA approved Belkyra™ by Allergan is increasing in popularity across the globe as an effective way to rid the chin and sculpt and contour.

Marionette lines

Enjoy a more youthful appearance by having these annoying lines softened and filled. These lines can give a downward appearance to your mouth and lower face, creating shadows which aren’t youthful. We use dermal fillers to plump out these areas, leaving skin fuller and more hydrated looking. Botulinum Toxin A (Botox ®) can be used in conjunction to prevent the downward pull of the strong facial muscles at the corners of your mouth that can promote a sad or grumpy appearance.

Nasolabial creases

With age, the elasticity and structure of the skin decreases. The use of temporary dermal fillers in the nasiolabial areas can subtly, and relatively painlessly, plump out these lines, restoring balance and harmony.

Botox and dermal filler pricing

The first consultation to discuss Botox® or filler treatment, performed by one of our plastic surgeons or specialist nurses, gifts the opportunity to  meet every new patient, discuss a treatment plan and fine tune this plan if required. For initial dermal filler consultation and treatment, we set aside an hour and a half. Our knowledgeable staff will advise when you call for your appointment.

Should you wish to discuss surgical treatment options or fat grafting, please make an appointment to see either Mr Brandon Adams or Mr Adam Bialostocki, for which there is a normal consultation fee.

Perspiration Treatments

If excessive armpit perspiration is an ongoing problem for you, consider the highly effective treatment of Botulinum Toxin A. Botox ® injected into this area – which is first anaesthetised with topical anaesthetic cream – brings results which are noticeable after two weeks. Patients who have had this treatment find it life changing – no more reapplying anti-perspirants, regularly changing clothes or stained shirts. Effects usually last 6 – 8 months but can be longer.

CoolSculpting

Am I a good candidate?

The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specifically designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. You should not have the CoolSculpting procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.

Are there side effects?

Typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. Rare side effects may also occur.

How much does it costs?

Each cycle costs $500 (inclusive of GST)

The CoolSculpting procedure eliminates stubborn fat safely and effectively, without needles, surgery or downtime.

CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), and then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.

After we select the area(s) to be treated, the device is positioned on your body and controlled cooling is applied. During your procedure, you may choose to read, check email, or even take a nap.

The CoolSculpting fat freezing procedure is completely non-surgical, so you can typically return to work and normal activities immediately.

In the weeks and months following your procedure, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good*.

Request a one-on-one consultation with us to determine if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you. We will help create a customized treatment plan, in person, that’s tailored to your body, your goals, and your budget.
